Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed in sloughs, standing water; shallows of lakes and slow-moving waters of ditches; Often it is stranded in mud. ILPIN Notes: This is a floating thalloid plant, has 1 root, green beneath. Its root tip is rounded. This is the commonest Lemna in Illinois.
