Species Description

Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed in sink-hole ponds; borders of drainage ditches, and bayous. ILPIN Notes: Leaves are razor-sharp, easily cutting flesh. It is suggested that young shoots might be cooked and used as vegetables. Species grows in the water. Species is found in Montgomery county along the shores of Lake Hillsboro - it is not known whether species is native here or not. Species has robust leaves to 2 cm broad, with very rough margins.
