Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed along roadsides and railroads, ditches, meadows, marshy ground at base of slopes, and bayou borders. ILPIN Notes: Versus other Illinos panicum, this species has a narrow rachis and a 5-nerved sterile lemma. Species is found mostly in southern 1/2 of Ill.; is adventive elsewhere.
