Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed on ground and ditches. ILPIN Notes: Versus the 2 other varieties, 1) tubercle 1/2 to 2/3 width of achene; 2) bristles usually longer than the tubercle. This is the least common of the three varieties found in Illinois; only 2 collections made since 1920. Species is found in west central, mid central Illinois and a few outlying points.
