Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: ILPIN Notes: This is an attractive aster with many heads of blue or purple rays; rarer white and pink-rayed forms also occur. This is a possible hybrid of aster novae-angliae and Aster ericoides, or of A. novae-angliae and A. praealtus. Disk flowers are perfect and fertile; ray flowers are pistillate and fertile.
