Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed in bald knobs, limestone bluff escarpments and ledges, rocky prairies, sandy open ground and by cemeteries. ILPIN Notes: Species has solitary upright stems, much dissected; handsome leaves and showy white, petal-like involucral bracts; fragrant creamy-white corollas. Species has discoid head. All florets are perfect and fertile. Species is found in Cass, Iroquois, Kankakee, and Mason counties. Functional Relationships:
