Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: A single collection - 1 plant - along a railroad. ILPIN Notes: Some medicinal herbs are used as a diuretic - may contribute slightly to hayfever. Pollen is "tenacious" and difficult to scrape away, thus probably it is not widely distributed. Heads are mostly discoid. Leaves are deeply palmately pinnatifid or bipinnatifid. Species is rubber-producing. Guayale is a member of this genus. Species was introduced from tropical America. Functional Relationships:
