Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed in poor soils; swales; shallow water; gulleys; brush or rock piles; waste areas; clearings; open woods; yards; gardens. ILPIN Notes: Regarding weediness, it may be economic or colonizing. Form - roots planted in spring or fall. Species is partly woody. Species is common to occasional in southern half. Marshbirds and shorebirds eat fruit as food; terrestrial furbearers eat fruits for food. This is including var. villosissimum Desv. and F. albiflorum House. Seed company no. 1 and 11.
