ILPIN Notes: Central flower is purple, overall leaf shape is oblong; marginal flowers are irregular. Species is commercial source of carotene; some people develop a dermatitis from contact; root edible, the cultivated carrot is a race of this species. Found in southern 2/3. Species has no central purple flower; overall leaf shape is oblong; marginal flowers are irregular.
