Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed on railroad ballast; sandy cultivated soil; cindery soil; sand bars and flats along Mississippi river. ILPIN Notes: Species is rare in the south. This may not be an economic weed in our area. In some western and prairie states, this species is considered the main cause of hayfever. Leaves are filiform. Species is a native of central Asia.
