Ecology & Natural History
Habitat: Species is distributed in low, moist ground in open or shade; oxbow lakes in alluvial flood plains of wooded or open river bottoms, muddy banks, gravel bars, dried up mud flats; waste places; and often is a garden weed. ILPIN Notes: Species is used in meal or flour. Species is found throughout the state. Species has sterile lemma with awn > 3 mml, panicle more or less open, the branches ascending.
