Habitat: Barnyards; railroad ballast; weedy, grassy areas; waste ground of limestone barrens; open woods

ILPIN Notes: Occasional to common. Finely and densely hairy; lower corolla lobe dotted with pink or purple. Economic weed in some states. Leaves used for tea; once cultivated for its supposed medicinal properties; used for tonics and colds.
